Bio

Meet Sally Lorenz, a member of Saxony Lutheran High School since the summer of 2000. Mrs. Lorenz is a dedicated and experienced teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience at Saxony Lutheran High School. Sally has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education in English grades 9-12 from the University of Mississippi, which she earned in 1983.

Before her career in education, Sally worked in mortgage lending, banking, and as a legal secretary. However, she left the workforce to care for her two sons while they were young. In 1998, Sally re-entered the workforce as a PE teacher for Trinity Lutheran School in Cape and then as a teacher's assistant for the junior high EMR class at Cape Central Junior High.

In 2000, Sally was blessed to join the brand new Lutheran school, Saxony Lutheran High School, where she has been teaching ever since. She has set up the school's first English department, newspaper, and yearbook.

Sally is a proud resident of Cape Girardeau and attends church at La Croix with her husband, Scott Lorenz. Together, they have four sons and four grandchildren. Sally also has a furry friend, a dog named Jenni.
